For the 100DayProject in 2025, where participants commit to creating one thing a day for 100 days, I made one hand-embroidered doodle each day, based on one of my nature photographs.
I started with a piece of mulberry paper I had eco-printed with leaves from my woods. I doodled using embroidery thread, interpreting a single photograph I had taken in my woods.
The freehand doodles in needle and thread, when added together, create a portrait of the place I live and work.
