Lament for a Hickory
A Pignut Hickory tree in our yard had to be taken down. I loved that tree.
I took photos of the cut stump, which I used to create photolithography on paper. Then I machine stitched and hand embroidered into a collage of the lithographs. I used upcycled and eco-dyed used coffee filters to create leaves, and machine stitched into them.
